Urban Forestry Awards Program Application
Nominations for the Friends of Our Urban Forest Awards Program are accepted electronically in a 4-part process. Please have all of your files ready and prepared in the proper format BEFORE you begin the online submission process. Starting and stopping during the process will result in an error and you will be required to start all over.
Steps for submitting your online award materials will be as follows:
- Fill out the online application form by clicking the “Apply Here” button below. The required form information is the same as the printed PDF application.
- Upload your summary and overview. This can be saved in a Word document, a text document, or PDF. File extensions that will be accepted include .doc, .docx, .txt, .pdf, and .wpd. Example: NameOfProjectSummary.docx
- Upload additional support materials (not required). Support documentation such as photographs, press clippings, printed pieces, and letters of commendation are strongly encouraged but shall be limited to 8 additional items. The TOTAL size of all files should not total over 16 megabytes. These files may have .pdf, .jpg, .doc, .docx, .txt., .wpd, .sitx, or .zip extensions. Example: NameOfProjectAdditional1.jpg, NameOfProjectAdditional2.pdf, etc. This can be up to 8 separate files, or, if you can combine your files into one 8-page PDF, this is acceptable. If you are capable of compressing or zipping a folder containing the files (.sitx or .zip), this is also acceptable. Do NOT send a folder that has not been compressed. Good Example: NameOfProjectAdditional.zip.
- Click the SEND button at the end of the application (step 4). If you exit the process before clicking the SEND button, your application will not be sent. When you have completed the online application successfully, a confirmation message box will appear.
