About the Florida Urban Forestry Council (FUFC)
The Florida Urban Forestry Council is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, incorporated under Florida law and governed by the Executive Board. Board members are elected by Council membership to help the Council achieve its mission of fostering the stewardship of urban and community forests.
Membership in the Florida Urban Forestry Council is open to all individuals, communities, and organizations interested in urban and community forestry.
Executive Board
The governing body of the Florida Urban Forestry Council is the Executive Board, which is composed of 26 elected and appointed members representing the following groups or organizations:
- Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects
- Florida Chapter International Society of Arboriculture
- Florida Cooperative Extension Service
- Florida Department of Transportation
- Florida League of Cities
- Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association
- Florida Recreation and Park Association
- Society of American Foresters
- Project Learning Tree
- City Arborist
- Private Arborist
- Utility Forester
- Tree Advocacy Group, conservation organization or garden club
- Members-at-Large
- Advisory Members

Executive Board & Committee Members
The Executive Board works together to develop timely and appropriate programs and projects that further the goals of the Council. Committees determine Council policies and procedures and conduct the business of the FUFC.
