Membership FAQs
Membership Transition
Why did FUFC change its membership structure?
Over the past year, FUFC reviewed member feedback and benchmarked similar organizations. We found that our members wanted simplified options, better access to continuing education, and clearer value for their dues. The new Membership structure reflects those priorities — education is now included, engagement is rewarded, and membership is easier to manage.
When do the new membership rates take effect?
All new memberships and renewals beginning December 1, 2025, will use the updated Membership pricing and benefits.
Will my current membership automatically convert?
Yes. When you renew after December 1, you’ll automatically transition into the corresponding Membership tier. Your renewal confirmation will list the new rate and benefits.
Education & CEUs
Do members now get CEUs for free?
Yes! All Professional, Agency, Corporate, and Utility members receive unlimited access to FUFC webinars and free CEUs for each eligible session (ISA, SAF, FNGLA, LIAF, LACES, CAM, etc., as available).
How will I receive my CEU certificates?
Certificates of attendance are emailed after each webinar and summarized in an annual report each December for easy credential tracking.
Group Membership
What’s included with a Government / Nonprofit Agency membership?
Up to five individual members with full Professional benefits (including CEUs). You’ll also receive agency recognition in Council Quarterly and on the FUFC website.
How do I manage my group’s members?
The purchaser becomes the “account owner/manager.” You can log in to your FUFC account anytime to add, remove, or update your five team members. Need help? Email us at info@fufc.org.
Can I add more than five people to my group?
Yes. Additional staff can be added at a discounted rate of $100 per person for Government/Nonprofit and $125 per person for Corporate/Utility memberships.
Engagement Rewards Program
What is the Engagement Rewards Program?
A new member-only initiative that lets you earn digital coupons for participating in FUFC activities — attending meetings, contributing articles, or recruiting new members. Coupons can be redeemed for discounts on workshops, the Urban Forestry Summit, and future renewals.
How do I track my rewards?
FUFC staff maintains an online tracking form. You’ll receive digital coupon codes via email after each activity is logged.
Renewals & Payments
When does my membership renew?
All memberships run on the calendar year (January 1 – December 31). Renewals open each fall for the upcoming year.
Do members still get discounts for events like UFI and the Summit?
Absolutely. All members receive discounted rates for the Urban Forestry Institute, Urban Forestry Member Summit, and FUFC workshops.
