The Florida Urban Forestry Council (FUFC) is seeking engaging, knowledgeable, and dynamic speakers to contribute to our upcoming educational programming.
We invite proposals for the following opportunities:
- Monthly Webinars (Virtual)
- Urban Forestry Institute (Virtual)
- Annual Member Summit (In-Person)
About Our Education Programs
Education Committee Mission Statement:
FUFC’s educational programs provide accessible, high-quality urban forestry education to professionals, communities, and the public—bridging policy, practice, and real-world application across Florida and beyond.
Our goal is to deliver relevant, actionable content that supports urban forestry professionals, decision-makers, and community stakeholders.
Topics of Interest
We welcome proposals on a wide range of urban forestry and related topics, including but not limited to:
- Urban forest management & planning
- Tree policy, ordinances, and advocacy
- Climate resilience & sustainability
- Tree risk assessment & best practices
- Community engagement & education
- Equity in urban forestry
- Emerging research & innovative practices
Please note: Sessions must be educational in nature. Sales-oriented or promotional presentations will not be considered.
Submission Requirements
Please include the following in your proposal:
- Presentation Title
- Course Description (2–3 paragraphs; include learning outcomes if possible)
- Speaker Bio and/or CV
- Fees & Travel Expenses (if applicable)
- Preferred Program Format (Webinar, Virtual Institute, or In-Person Summit)
- Continuing Education Eligibility (CEUs)
- Please indicate if your session qualifies for CEUs (ISA, SAF, FNGLA, etc.)

Strong proposals will:
- Deliver practical, real-world applications
- Align with current trends and challenges in urban forestry
- Offer engaging and interactive content
- Provide value to a diverse audience (professionals, municipalities, nonprofits, and community leaders)
Submission Timeline
Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed by the FUFC Education Committee for upcoming programming opportunities.
