The Florida Urban Forestry Council (FUFC) is powered by dedicated volunteers who bring expertise, ideas, and energy to advance urban forestry across the state. Serving on a committee is one of the most impactful ways to get involved, build connections, and help shape the future of our programs.

Committee Opportunities

Events Committee

Plans and delivers FUFC’s signature events, including the Urban Forestry Institute (virtual) and Member Summit (in-person). Focuses on creating engaging, high-quality educational and networking experiences.

Education Committee

Develops and supports webinars and other educational programming. Focuses on relevant topics, strong speakers, and delivering value to professionals and communities.

Communications Committee

Leads FUFC’s messaging and outreach efforts through newsletters, social media, and digital communications. Ensures consistent and engaging communication with members and partners.

Membership Committee

Drives membership growth, engagement, and retention. Focuses on outreach, member value, and expanding FUFC’s reach across the industry.

S.O.A.P. Committee

Supports communities in strengthening urban forestry programs through Staff, Ordinance, Advocacy, and Planning. Provides resources and outreach to local governments.

Awards Committee

Recognizes excellence in urban forestry through FUFC’s annual awards program and supports the development of scholarship opportunities.

Sponsorship & Marketing Committee

Builds partnerships and secures sponsorships to support FUFC programs. Focuses on revenue growth, sponsor engagement, and marketing strategy.

Finance Committee

Provides financial oversight by reviewing monthly financial reports and monitoring budget performance to ensure responsible fiscal management.
